Quality research was chosen for data collection. The author used semi-structured interviews. The research file consisted of Muslim patients with their own personal experiences with the Czech healthcare system and of nurses, who took care of a Muslim patient at least once in their career. The results showed that nurses are aware of the main specifics of a nursing care of the Muslim patients. Another research showed that Czech healthcare system enables the Muslim patients to keep practicing most of their customs, which are connected to their religion. This research also showed that the quality of the Czech healthcare system is on a very high level and that Czech nurses are well qualified. The results pointed out that the communication from the medical staff's side is affected by the language barrier. Nowadays it is common to meet patients from all around the world with different beliefs for example because of the migration. The Muslim patient has got a lot of specifics in ordinary life as well as in his/her healthcare needs. These specifics need to be respected. To be able to give a quality care with respect, it is good to know patients' opinions on the Czech healthcare system. Their experiences and opinions can help with the improvement of the Czech healthcare system. The results of the bachelor's thesis will show the biggest problems faced by Muslim patients in the Czech healthcare system, as well as the nurses themselves, who provide nursing care to Muslim patients.
Problems of integration of the Ukraine nurses in the health systém of the Czech Republic.
VOTRUBOVÁ, Nataliya
The health care in the Czech Republic has not got enough nurses. One solution to this problem is to except help from the nurses from Ukraine, they have simillar culture and language to us. To include nurses from Ukraine it is not easy, it includes legislative and culture process. It is also difficult for them to learn Czech language and they have to go throught a culture shock. This work has its aim to find out the difficulties in including Ukraine nurses into the health care in the Czech Republic. The chosen metod was technice called polo- structured with pre structured open questions. Interviews were with the nurses from Ukraine and the Czech Republic which work in the South Bohemian hospital. To show the whole problem it also includes interviews with doctors and patients from the same hospital. The results show that the Ukraine nurses feel possitive about being included in the health care system in the Czech Republic. It was also found that the Czech nurses and doctors are happy working alongside with them. Another important fact is that patients are also happy about the care they receive from the Ukraine nurses. The biggest factor in helping to integrate the Ukraine nurses into the work and into the full Czech culture is to help them to learn the Czech language. Results of the findings can help the nurses easier integrate into the health care system in the Czech Republic and it can also be used for NLZP for Czech and Ukraine nurses. Help to prevent problems which may acure.
The Pharmacy-based Cost Group Model: Application in the Czech Health Care System
Hajíčková, Tereza ; Votápková, Jana (advisor) ; Paulus, Michal (referee)
The risk adjustment model currently used does not adequately compensate insurers for predictable differences in individuals' health care expenditures in the Czech Republic. It then leads to financial inequality in the redistribution of funds to the insurance companies and causes their financial problems. This study introduces a PCG model as another method for risk adjustment and determines to what extent the predictive performance of the model can be improved when applied to Czech data. We analyze 10% of population sample in the Czech Republic in years 2011 and 2012. Our results confirm the appropriateness of the PCG model for the Czech environment. When the PCG variables are added to the demographic model, R2 value of the prediction model increases from 2.03% to 13.87%.
